Project Description
Titel: COSORE - Corporate Social responsibility
 
General Objective:
The project aims to raise the social responsibility in SME through the development of the necessary methodologies and instruments, based on the Siemens models, in both perspectives:in-company and towards the community in order to create a better organisational environment with more learning potential in the companies (improving social dialogue, organisational flexibility and gain competitiveness) and to make emerge "ethical" codes of best business practice in employment, consumer protection and community involvement.
 
Specific Objectives:
  • to develop, test and disseminate a model to raise corporate social responsibility in SME based on the experience and good practices of Siemens. The model will approach both in-company and community social work and will include the methodologies, methods and instruments necessary to the implementation;
  • to develop an on going evaluation based on the Balanced Scorecard Method in order to assure quality and evaluate the effects of a social responsible management.
  • To establish an European partnership work involving a big company, SME and their representatives, a big NGO, a training provider and a research institute in order to assure the integration of the different actors perspectives and different European realities;
  • To establish a regional partnership in each country with a consulting function to assure a wider participation of actors.
Methodology / Methods - The main activities are:
  1. Kick-off meeting/building the project partnership with a Learning Exchange Workshop using participative facilitation techniques;
  2. Analysis of the state of the art in SME in relation to CSR by reporting what happens in each country;
  3. Development of the concepts "Social responsibility inside a SME" and "Social Responsibility of SME towards the Community" and on going evaluation concept based on Balanced Scorecard
  4. Development of Training/ learning concepts based on the models developed under activities 3.
  5. Building partnerships for the implementation phase
  6. Implementation/Test Phase
  7. Elaboration of Evaluation Report and Final Report
The Dissemination will be done through the project website, a leaflet, an Interim and a final Conferences The evaluation follows formative/responsive and self evaluation concepts and will be ex-ante and on-going.

  • A package with the necessary instruments aiming to raise CSR in SME
  • An evaluation method based on the Balanced Scorecard
  • A final report of the project and the evaluation Report
  • Improvement of communication and common work within the regional networks.
